Join the Wales and Marches Group on a visit to Much Wenlock with exclusive tours of Buildwas Abbey, Buildwas Manor, the Guildhall and Holy Trinity Church.

The day will begin with a tour of Abbey Manor. We’ll have tea, coffee and biscuits with the owner, Darren Williams, before he leads us around his buildings and grounds – once part of Buildwas Abbey, which is now an impressive ruin next to the Manor.

After this, local historian Vivien Bellamy will lead us around the Abbey Ruins before we all break for lunch in Much Wenlock. There are many options nearby for lunch – including one of four pubs, several cafes and The Pig and Pie Shop.

After lunch, we’ll reconvene at the Grade II*-listed Guildhall in Much Wenlock, where Vivien will lead us on a tour.

The day will conclude with a tour of the 12th century Grade I-listed Holy Trinity Church, which is adjacent to the Guildhall.
