In 1905, Weir saved the church tower of Coln St Denys, now known as Coln St Dennis, which required strengthening as it was buckled and bowed. In his book Wandering Architects, Michael Drury states “The Society had at last made much misshapen indictors of a building’s history not just acceptable by venerable, and something worthy of great effort to retain.”
