A former Fox Brothers textile mill built in 1797 with a ‘new’ 1821 breastshot waterwheel, now the largest working example in the South West. In 1865 steam power was added. In 1981 the factory closed, and reopened in 1982 as a working museum of the textile industry.

Near Cullompton, about 2 miles SE of junction 27 on the M5. Follow signs to Willand via B3181, then brown signs to Working Wool Museum.

Opening Times:
Open all year, Tuesday to Sunday, 9.30am to 4.30pm and also some Bank Holiday Mondays – see website. (Closed 25th and 26th December).
Groups, coach parties and school/college groups are welcome by prior arrangement.
Additional Information:
There is an 18ft suspension wheel, running line shafting for spinning, also an 1888 restored Lancashire boiler, a 1910 steam engine and an 1867 beam engine. There is a Mill shop and Cafe.
