Hele Corn Mill
Hele Corn Mill
Watermill
A 16th-century watermill, with an 18' waterwheel and horizontal layshaft. There is a porcelain roller mill and a 20HP National diesel engine built in 1928. Flour was milled here until the mid 1930s, after which it fell derelict. Restored in the 1970s and now fully working, the mill grinds a heritage species of organic wheat to provide flour for the adjacent award-winning tea room.
