Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet
Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet
Watermill
The complex of Grade I and II listed buildings was once the largest water-powered industrial site on the River Sheaf, producing agricultural tools. Highlights include the restored water-powered scythe works dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, with water-powered tilt hammers, a grinding hull and hand forges, plus a workman's cottage and manager's house.
