A limestone tower windmill built in the early 1800s adjacent to the Grand Union Canal for the supply of flour to the London market. Worked to about 1876. It was restored in the 1970s-1990s by Milton Keynes Development Corporation, and placed in the ownership of Milton Keynes Council. Now managed and opened to the public by Milton Keynes Museum. Opening Times:
The mill will be open on the last Sunday of each month, from April to October, plus May Bank Holiday. Dates are April 30th, May 1st, May 13th & 14th, June 25th, July 30th, August 27th, September 9th & 10th, September 24th, October 29th. All days 13.30 - 16.30. Up-to-date details of opening times on website. It may also be possible to arrange for group visits at times when the mill is not scheduled to be open.
