SPAB and Covid-19

While the country is in lockdown, we continue to protect old buildings. We're responding to threats to some of our greatest buildings. We will continue to share our knowledge, and support our community of craftspeople and experts. Despite the fact that so many organisations and individuals have been badly affected by the recent crisis we have seen little reduction in the flow of casework.
Face-to-face courses and events that were due to run between now and the start of May will be.rescheduled for later in the year wherever possible. We are also exploring alternative ways to make course content available to delegates where we can, including via webinars. Please explore the What's On pages to find and register for online learning sessions, and for courses and events taking place later in the year. We will be in touch with all delegates about their event bookings. Courses and events due to run between May and September are under review and we will provide regular updates. We are also running free online skill share sessions, created by members for members, so do sign up to those.
Our technical work continues, as does our Technical Advice Line, generously supported by Historic England. During these times of self-isolation and social distancing, we're a real person at the end of the phone for free advice so do continue to call the line Monday-Friday, between 9.30am-12.30pm: 020 7456 0916
All SPAB staff are now working from home and are contactable as usual via email. Please see our contacts for departmental email addresses.
If you are able to, please consider making a donation to the SPAB, either via our website, or text SPAB and the amount you'd like to give (1-20) to 70085. We would be extremely grateful for your support at this time.
We hope that you are coping during these unusual circumstances. Please continue to engage with us on our social media channels and sign up to our enewsletter, if you haven’t already. We’d love to hear from you.
