The ever popular co-hosted event of the year on traditional buildings returns in September. We have some of the country’s leading speakers to help us understand the underlying issues, explore some potential solutions and then discuss all this together with a Q&A session at the end of each morning. The conference is CPD accredited and recordings of all sessions will be made available for delegates to view after the conference for a limited time. 

Day 1 will focus on Retrofit Tools, and how to embrace the wider issues of Moisture, Embodied Carbon and Regeneration practices. 

Having a good understanding of traditional (pre-c1919) buildings is an important prerequisite when undertaking work on them. This includes not only a sound knowledge of their construction and performance but also the risks associated with the use of different methods and materials, not least those affecting moisture movement. Day 2 will explore some of the latest research and its implications for retrofitting older buildings, as well as provide an update on the development of relevant guidance and standard practice documentation.

Each day will feature the hotly debated Q&A whereby the presenters are asked for their expert advice from the audience. All sessions will be recorded and access to the recording will be provided to all delegates who have registered prior to the conference to view at their leisure for a set period of time.
