Wednesday 9 April, 7 – 9pm online talk
Find out about the history of some of Dorset’s finest houses and humblest dwellings with historian John Lowe. This talk explores how and why they were designed, built and used. It covers the period from the Bronze Age to the 21st century.
Having spent 15 years researching Dorset Houses and self-publishing a book on the subject, John Lowe will shine a light on 59 houses with reconstruction paintings, photographs and historic images. Bringing each to life and untangling controversies behind the designs and introduce the surprising twists in how we've understood them. As a bonus, one of the houses he will discuss is Athelhampton - the subject of a previous webinar by Giles Keating. John Lowe has new material and interpretations of Athehampton's past.
Catch up with the recording of Giles Keating’s Athelhampton Tudor kitchen talk (members only).
