Event details

Saturday April 27th, 10.30 am.

There has been a hall on this site since medieval times or earlier.  A large 18C house was destroyed by fire in 1901, and the current house was built in 1906 to a design by Architects Wimperis & Best in the Queen Anne style. It is not known if it is based on the earlier house. The 18C stable block from the earlier house survived the fire, as well as an Ice-house and Ha- Ha. We will be seeing parts of the house plus the stables which are currently undergoing repair and conservation, followed by refreshments in the library.
