The tower was repaired and improved in 2016 under the direction of former SPAB Scholar Jo Hibbert and is now leased to the Water Sports Centre.
Meet Mount Batten Centre car park 10.15am
Lunch is available at the Centre, or on the Barbican. The Water Taxi to the Mayflower Steps connects the two.
The Elizabethan House, 17-19 New Street, Plymouth PL1 2LS.
A 16th century town house in Plymouth’s historic Barbican area. It belongs to Plymouth City Museum currently undergoing refurbishment, the architects will be on site. The SPAB have been involved with the building since the 1920s. The tour of the House will be in two groups the other free to explore the Barbican.
Meet at Mayflower Steps 1.45pm (if wet outside the Museum opposite)
